The role
Front of House Security Officers cover corporate receptions and commercial buildings. The role blends visitor management (registration, badging, host notification) with licensed security work (access control, ID verification, CCTV monitoring, incident response). The blend is the defining feature — a building's security posture is judged by the person at the desk, and our officers are placed accordingly.
Who it suits
The role suits workers with the presentation of front-of-house, the awareness of security, and the diplomacy to manage VIP visitors and difficult arrivals with the same composure. It is well-suited to officers stepping in from hospitality, and to those building toward Head of Security roles in corporate environments.
A typical shift
Twelve-hour shifts, typically Monday to Friday with weekend cover as required. The shift includes desk coverage, visitor registration and pass issuance, host notification, contractor access management, CCTV and access control monitoring, deliveries handling, and incident response across the building. The quieter middle of the day is bracketed by busier start, end, and lunch periods.
Requirements & expectations
- SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guard Licence — mandatory and current
- Right to work in the UK and Enhanced DBS where the client requires
- Corporate or hotel front-of-house background — strongly preferred
- Smart business attire — suit-and-tie typically required
- Strong written and spoken English
- Confidence with visitor management systems (Proxyclick, Envoy, Sine, or similar)
- Composed under pressure and diplomatic with VIP arrivals
