Our roles Hospitality Posted 1 month ago

Trained event service for banqueting, plated dinners, and conference catering — the floor team that delivers a clean event meal at scale.

The role

Event Waiters deliver food service at events — banqueting dinners, conference catering, awards ceremonies, weddings, and corporate functions. The role is distinct from venue-anchored restaurant service: workers are deployed shift-by-shift across multiple venues, work to a structured event running order, and deliver consistent service at volume. Silver service and plated dinner experience is preferred for senior placements.

Who it suits

The role suits hospitality workers who prefer the variety of events to the routine of a single venue, and who can deliver consistent service across high-volume sittings. It is well-suited to experienced banqueting staff, and to those with restaurant experience moving into event work.

A typical shift

Four to ten hours depending on the event. The shift begins with the worker arriving uniform-ready and taking a briefing on the event, the running order, the menu, allergens, dietary requirements, and the service style (silver, plated, family-style). Mise-en-place and table dressing follow, then service through the event with course timings managed by the captain. Breakdown follows the event close.
