About the Role
We are looking for professional, reliable and flexible Event Waiters and Waitresses to support a range of corporate events and hospitality functions in London.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced hospitality environment and delivering an excellent standard of service. You will work alongside experienced event and hospitality teams, helping ensure guests receive a smooth and professional experience from arrival through to the end of the event.
The role may include conferences, corporate receptions, private functions, dinners and other organised events.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide professional and attentive food and beverage service throughout events
- Welcome guests and provide friendly, helpful assistance when required
- Serve food, soft drinks and other refreshments according to event service standards
- Assist with setting up event spaces, tables, service stations and dining areas
- Clear tables, glassware and service areas efficiently throughout the event
- Maintain a clean, organised and presentable working environment
- Follow food hygiene, health and safety and allergen procedures at all times
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, kitchen staff and other members of the Events team
- Respond professionally to guest enquiries and requests
- Assist with opening, closing and event breakdown procedures
- Maintain high standards of personal presentation and professionalism
- Support the wider Events and Food & Beverage team wherever required
What We’re Looking For
- Previous waiter/waitress, hospitality or events experience is preferred
- Professional and confident when interacting with guests
- Friendly and approachable with strong customer service skills
- Good spoken English and communication skills
- Reliable, punctual and well presented
- Comfortable working in a busy event environment
- Able to work effectively as part of a team
- Flexible with working hours and available for different event schedules
- Willing to support with different duties depending on the requirements of each event
